31st January 2016: 31/365 Burnt
Remember this prompt, when your home was on fire and you got to save five items? That means you left a lot of stuff behind. What are the things you wish you could have taken, but had to leave behind?
We know that most things are irreplaceable but sometimes we can’t find those things similar because it is one of a kind or doesn’t have the same feel as the previous one.
I rather save all the things left behind because they do have somehow a sentimental value. It is not just buying again the same thing you lost like a spoon or a fork which really doesn’t mean much but things like photo albums, your artworks, sketches, work projects, items from overseas etc. as these things you rather have it once and couldn’t be replaced because it wouldn’t be the same.
Most things I would rather say is priceless with the memories attach to every item and everything replaced including a new home would cost me a lot to get all the things burnt back.
That’s it for the January prompts; I ended my last day in January with my secondary school friend over a horror/thriller movie “The Boy” which have a very good twist/surprise because it doesn’t look the way as you thought it would be at the start. Please do not read the story before watching the movie because it would not be the same feel if you watch it before knowing the real story. Dinner was Indonesian Cuisine at JTown. Food was nice and reasonable. After which we went to the bookstore kinokuniya. Thanks for the catchup YiLin, till our next meetup! J
