- Do I volunteer enough?
According to the dictionary, volunteer refers to someone who freely offers to do something so to the question whether it is enough; that is very subjective. For my side I think there is no limit for enough as volunteering is a free will thing. If a person was forced upon to do something, it doesn’t consider being voluntary.
You don’t have to wait for a volunteering event to volunteer. Simple tasks like pressing the lift for people to get out first or holding the door for people to exit first is already a voluntarily act. Sometimes you don’t even know you volunteer because it is an initiative that you do with your own free will.
Of course there are also opportunities to voluntary events and also people asking for volunteers to help. In that case that volunteer acts are much more recognisable because it is a voluntary event and people endorsed your volunteering.
I do believe every single person volunteers unexpectedly without them knowing an I continue to encourage those unknowing volunteer acts and thank you for volunteering,
